LUCAS KANAKIS/PARTNER

Biography

As a Partner in the Property/Commercial Division of the firm, Lucas is responsible for/focuses on property and commercial (especially leasing) matters. Lucas has substantial and varied experience in business and commercial law and has worked extensively with small to medium sized enterprises for more than 34 years.

Lucas is the supervising partner of the firm’s Property Services group. He has extensive experience in conveyancing, property and commercial leasing including shopping centres. He advises clients on commercial and residential property, commercial leasing and the purchase and sale of businesses.

Lucas’ areas of expertise include Commercial/Business Law, in particularly in Business Sales and Purchases and Business Structures and Transactions; and Property Law, including Commercial Property Leasing; Mortgages; Property Development & Construction; Residential and Commercial Property and Sale and Purchase.

Lucas acts for a number of religious and charitable organisations and is fluent in Greek.

Lucas’ qualifications include B.A. B.EC. LL.B. from the University of Sydney.
