ALAN MCMURRAN/PARTNER

Biography

As a partner in the Litigation Division, Alan is responsible for commercial litigation for a range of clients from individuals to SME’s and large corporates.

Drawing on more than 35 years of experience as a litigator, Alan supervises a range of work from debt collection to complex commercial litigation.

Alan is also an accredited commercial mediator and holds a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Alan has extensive experience in mediation where he holds accreditation from the Australian Commercial Disputes Centre and practices as a part-time Member of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal in its Consumer and Commercial Division.

Alan is also experienced in employment issues and family law and appears in all State and Federal jurisdictions, other than NCAT, both as legal representative and advocate.

Prior to joining Diamond Conway in March 2012, Alan was a partner at Heidtman & Co in Sydney and head of the litigation department.

Alan is a frequent presenter at seminars and teaches post-graduate law students part-time at UTS in Sydney for the PLT course.

Alan is a member of the litigation section of the Law Council of Australia and a member of the Law Society of NSW Professional Conduct Committee.
